                                             THE NEW KINDLES ARE HERE!

The Universal Digital Library has donated Amazon Kindle readers to the University Libraries.  They are loaded with classic and popular fiction and non-fiction titles.

Get a Kindle at Hunt Library, the Engineering and Science Library, and the Mellon Institute Library.

Who?

CMU faculty, staff and students can borrow Kindles from the library.

What?

Check the availability of Kindles using CAMEO, or ask at the circulation desk.

When? (how long)

Kindles circulate for 2 weeks; renewals are not available for Kindles.  Hold requests are not available for Kindles.

Where?

Hunt Library, Engineering & Science Library, and Mellon Institute Library

How? (find a specific title)

To see complete title litsts for each Kindle, search "Kindle" in CAMEO --> Select "e-reader" as Material Type -->  Select the location you prefer: Kindle Hunt Library, Kindle Engineering and Science or Kindle Mellon Institute --> Open the record to see the books available on the Kindle.

Fines and fees

Fines are $1.00/per day.

Lost or damaged Kindles will be billed fines plus replacement costs.
