Carnegie Mellon University Africa: Libraries Resources for Faculty and Staff

Requesting Course Reserves

Faculty and instructors can provide course materials and e-books through their course Canvas website and on syllabi. The Libraries are happy to purchase e-books for use in classes. Note that some core textbooks are not available for library purchase or may be cost prohibitive.

To request e-books for courses, consider providing ample lead time.
  • Submit reserve requests and materials at least one month before the semester begins.
  • Rush requests may be submitted after the beginning of the semester if necessary.
Use the Course Reserves Request form to request your e-book reserves
  • Go to the Course Reserves Page and click on the Place Items on Reserve button.
  • Submit a reserve request for each item to be put on reserve.

Questions about course reserves?  Please feel free to email Matt Marsteller or Sarah Young with any questions you have.
