Welcome to the Carnegie Mellon University Archives

The University Archives is responsible for preserving Carnegie Mellon's history and traditions. Our collection holds official university records, professional papers of faculty and alumni, and material that documents the Carnegie Mellon student experience.

Additionally, the Archives holds audiovisual material, memorabilia, and 1,000,000+ photographs that visually document life at Carnegie Mellon University from its founding to the present day. The Archives also has numerous university publications, including The Thistle, The Tartan, and course catalogs.
