Elsevier Overview
CMU faculty, staff, and students who are corresponding authors on articles published in Elsevier journals are able to make these available open access without any payment.
- All articles accepted with a CMU (currently affiliated) corresponding author published by Elsevier in a Gold or Hybrid Open Access journal (Cell Press journals not included)
- Articles in non-open access Elsevier journals can still be made open access through Green Open Access by depositing the Author’s Peer Reviewed Accepted Manuscript. A delay of access (embargo) will be required.
- Authors can publish their articles with a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC-BY 4.0) or Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Non-Derivative 4.0 (CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.
