Video Collection

The Video Collection is on the second floor of Hunt Library. Sign in to your library account to request media for borrowing or streaming. The Libraries also lends DVD players. To request new video purchases for courses or research, contact the Art & Design Librarian or Lauren Calloway.

Electronic Arts Intermix (EAI) Educational Streaming This link opens in a new window
Provides access to almost 2,000 titles by 65 artists from EAI's collection of new and historical media artworks. Also includes artists’ biographies, texts on the works, bibliographies, archival documents, supporting media, essays, and more.
Video Data Bank (VDB) Streaming This link opens in a new window
Launched in 2024 by Video Data Bank at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, VDB Streaming offers access to VDB's vast collections of video art and experimental moving image work. The streaming platform offers access to individual titles, curated compilations and subscriptions for large portions of the VDB's collections.

The National Jukebox (Library of Congress)
The Jukebox includes recordings from the collections of the Library of Congress National Audio-Visual Conservation Center and other contributing libraries and archives.
BBC Sound Effects
The BBC Sound Effects Archive is available for personal, educational or research purposes. It includes sound effects, historic recordings, and 15,000 recordings from the Natural History Unit archive.
Freesound
A collaborative database of Creative Commons Licensed sounds. Browse, download and share sounds.
