Library Teaching & Learning Services (LTLs): My Librarian

Each department or school at Carnegie Mellon has a librarian assigned to it who serves as its liaison. Liaison librarians:

• Provide research assistance in-person, by phone, email and IM
• Offer research consultations for students and faculty
• Develop and maintain research guides in their fields
• Select and manage library resources in assigned subject areas
• Communicate with their academic departments
• Offer class presentations on research strategies and resources
