The Flag

Rwanda flag was adopted on October 25, 2001, and is considered one of the youngest flags in the world. It was designed by Alphonse Kirimobenecyo.

Geography

Rwanda has a total area of 26338 sq km and shares its borders with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Tanzania, and Burundi. Its capital is Kigali, and the official languages are Kinyarwanda, French, English, and Kiswahili (Swahili).
