Once logged in, create a new project by clicking the New button:
If you created your account with your CMU email address and have access to CMU's enterprise account, you should see an option to choose CMU as the project owner. Choose CMU from the Owner drop-down menu and then decide if you would like your project to be publicly viewable (this does not include public access to attached files) or private, viewable only by you and your collaborators, by clicking on the appropriate radio button.
If you had already created your own personal Sysrev account and have a project you would like to transfer into the CMU enterprise account, after you have requested access to the CMU enterprise Sysrev, go to your project. Choose Manage -> Settings, and then click Transfer Project.
Sysrev projects often include the use of multiple sub-projects to manage different review phases. There are two ways to create sub-projects from an existing Sysrev project, child projects and clones. Note that these are not hierarchically nested with the parent project, but will simply appear as an additional project in your account. Thus, we recommended using a project naming convention that will help keep your projects organized.
Child projects allow you to select a filtered subset of records from an existing project and create a new project from that subset. Child projects do not carry over existing labels or label answers but do carry over attached PDFs.
A quick video demonstrating child projects is available on the Sysrev YouTube channel.
Cloning a project allows you to create a duplicate of the project including the option to carry over all articles, labels and/or label answers. You cannot choose a subset of articles when cloning a project.
You can add as many team members to your Sysrev project as you like. Note that your collaborators do not need to be CMU affiliates in order to be added to a CMU enterprise project. To add members to your project, simply go to the Overview page of your project and either send the Invite link (in the box under Invite others to join) to your collaborators, or add their emails to the box under Send invitation emails. Invitees will be prompted to create Sysrev accounts before being added to the project.
There are three role settings (or permission levels) in Sysrev projects: Owner, Admin and Member. Owners and admins are able to make changes to individual permissions as follows.
Each role has different access levels for the various tasks and functions in Sysrev. Below is a table indicating the different tasks and features that each user role is able to access.
