This guide will show you some of the general resources the University Libraries have to help you with your studies and research. Other guides are available that are more subject specific. If you need help with any question, or with starting your research, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're happy to help when you Ask A Librarian, whether it's via chat, phone, email, or in person. No question is too large or too small!
The Maggie Murph Café on the 1st floor of Hunt is currently closed.
We now have Bloomberg Terminals on the 1st floor of Hunt and also at Sorrells.
You can print and scan in the Libraries.

We don't have lockers, but we do have group study rooms you can reserve.
We don't have a public FAX machine (See Tepper Copy Center, Tepper Quad Room 1214 for that 412-268-2281 for that) but we do have scanners for you to use.
PCs, black & white printers and scanners are in all libraries, color printers are on the 1st and 4th floors of Hunt Library.
Group study rooms are in the basement and have whiteboards! Whiteboard tables are also available in the basement! Staff at the Circulation Desk will give you dry erase markers and erasers when you give them your CMU ID card.
Your CMU ID card is your library card.
We have a Lost & Found at each Circulation Desk and there is also one at the University Center Information Desk.
Using snail mail? The Post Office can help with envelopes, stamps, etc.
The Information Desk University Center also provides a lot of services, including commuter lockers, study rooms, lost and found, etc.

The Career Collection is on the 2nd floor!! (by the water fountain). You can check out career books with your CMU ID card. You can search with a keyword and then just use the facets to limit to the Career-2 location or limit to e-book. Be sure to login to get full access to facets and online material! And yes, you can check them out with your CMU ID card! Also take a look at the Career and Job Research Guide!
The Video Collection is on the 2nd floor of Hunt Library!! View DVDs, etc. for your classes. These must be used onsite.
