Executive Branch: Headed by the President, this branch enforces laws and administers government operations. It includes the Vice President, the Cabinet, and various federal agencies that implement and manage policies.
Legislative Branch: Comprised of the U.S. Congress, which includes the House of Representatives and the Senate. This branch is responsible for making laws, regulating commerce, and controlling federal spending.
Judicial Branch: Consisting of the Supreme Court and lower federal courts, this branch interprets laws and ensures they are applied fairly. It has the power to review legislation and executive actions for constitutionality.
