Kazakhstan flag was designed by Shaken Niyazbekov and adopted on June 4, 1992.

Geography

Kazakhstan is located in Central Asia and covers a total area of 2,724,900 sq km. It shares its borders with Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. Its capital is Astana which means "capital city" in Kazakh. The official languages are Kazakh and Russian.
