The CMU-Q Library offers faculty, students, and staff access to the online version of The New York Times via a group pass to NYTimes.com.

To activate your group pass, please follow these steps:

1. Go to https://myaccount.nytimes.com/verification/edupass

2. If you do not already have an account, click Create Account and use Andrew ID as your email address. A validation e-mail will be sent to you. Once you click on the link in the e-mail, you will have access to nytimes.com : 

Students: Access lasts until December 31st of your graduation year.

Faculty/Staff: Access lasts for 4 years at which time you must re-authenticate.

3. If you previously registered for an account, click Already have an account. If your account has expired, you will receive a validation e-mail; click it to restore your subscription.

You may download NYTimes mobile apps at nytimes.com/mobile.

Limitations: Unlimited access to NYT articles 1851-present except for 1923-1980 where the limit is 5 articles per day. Does not include e-reader editions, crosswords or other games, or other premier content. Includes app access, though not all devices support NYT apps.
