Alma

• Metadata Management
  • Exporting to Excel from a title search now provides links to related materials. 
  • Saved facets can be applied to Alma Title and Holdings searches 
  • Cataloger notes are available during Title and Holdings searches
  • Electronic portfolios can be deleted from the Inventory page in the Metadata Editor. 
• Artificial Intelligence 
  • In Alma title searches, there is a new AI indication icon for Community Zone records that were enriched by an AI generator. 
  • The AI Metadata Assistant can request a specific type of enrichment such as table of contents or subject. 
  • Alma title searches have two new search indexes: 
    • Processed with AI tools 
    • Enriched with AI metadata by Community Zone
  • In the AI Metadata Assistant, catalogers can upload a PDF or Word file (up to four pages) containing a resource description, to generate metadata. 
• Electronic Resource Management 
  • Alma title searches now display the availability of electronic portfolios.
