Endowment interest for the 3rd quarter was recently posted. Please spend out your endowment funds before the end of the FY. If you have any questions or need help finding your endowed fund balance, please contact Kim.***

 

March Journal Title Changes

Alma release notes for April: 
 
 
  • On 4/10, the temps began weeding OVRSZQ-4. Of the 21,520 titles listed on Joelen’s spreadsheet, the selectors’ decisions are as follows:

KEEP:  10,632

DISCARDS:  7,199

OFFSITE:  3,540

NO DECISION:  149

TOTAL:  21,520

  • On 4/10, the temps began pulling the OVRSZQ-4 books that are earmarked for “OFFSITE”.

As of 4/15, of the OVRSZQ-4 books to be transferred to Offsite (3,540 items), 4 of the 7 spreadsheets, 2,000 books, have been pulled.

  • During the week of 4/7, the temps moved the STACKS-4 Orphans, 861 books that are not assigned to any selector, down to HL2. The temps also transferred the STACKS-3 books (Q-Z) on HL3 down to HL2. Total number of books transferred to STACKS-2 was 4,100. 

  • The temps went to Offsite on 3/14, 3/21, and 4/4. In total, they unpacked and shelved 300 boxes. The boxes contained books, LPs and laserdiscs. Temps will go to Offsite again at the end of April/early May.

  • As of 4/7, the number of items (books, LPs, laserdiscs) shelved at Offsite is 450,022.  Shelving capacity at Offsite is 500,000. Several ranges hold items from Archives and Special Collections. (These items are not included in the total count.) There is currently enough room at Offsite for 10,000 to 15,000 books (estimate).
