New  URL for the Request a New Resource/Trial Airtable that was part of the migration to the Enterprise Airtable instance. Please make sure you update any of your documentation.

 

HL3 Weeding

  • Weeding of HL3 bound journal collection was completed on 7/19.
  • Weeding of OVRSZQ-3 (6,776 books) and STACKS-3 (15,918 books) will take place during Fall Semester;  

total number of books for both collections = 22,694.

  • We are currently shelf-reading collections.
  • In early August (8/6), Jolene emailed selectors spreadsheets for both collections. 
  • Selectors were asked to make retention decisions (Keep, Offsite, Discard) by end of August.
  • For guidance, selectors should refer to the collection development policy that Nicky Agate emailed on 8/5. 
  • Selectors are asked to keep in mind that space is tight at offsite. 

Offsite Elevator Update

  • Elevator was delivered at Penn Avenue on 8/2 (Friday).
  • Elevator Consultant, Leonard Libbon, estimates that installation and inspection should be completed

by 8/23.

  • There are currently 24 boxes at Hunt waiting to be transferred to second floor of offsite and 75 portfolio sized

Items. 

Weeding of VHS tapes   

  • Since the end of February, 1,702 VHS tapes have been weeded (sent to GreenDisk).
  • Weeded VHS tapes are forwarded to Gloria and Terrence for processing.

Mellon Institute Theses

  • At the end of July, 222 theses shelved at MI transferred to Hunt for offsite processing.
  • Theses were assigned offsite barcodes and spine labels and packed.
  • After elevator installation complete, boxes will be transported to offsite and shelved on the second floor.
