Bloomberg is an amazing resource full of current and historical financial data, newswires and reports for companies worldwide. Bloomberg Professional is available only on a limited number of terminals inside the CMU-Qatar building, including six in the Q-Smart Lab, one in the library, and one in room 2035. The Wall Street Journal Online (CMU affiliates must create an initial account using your CMU Andrew email address) provides access to current and archived business news, financial data, analyses, and opinion; with personalized watchlists and alerts, applications for personal mobile devices, and multiple international editions.
Rocketblocks is available for CMU-Q business students. It is a training module to prepare for case interviews at management consulting firms.
Management Consulted is “the leading resource on all things consulting, with a focus on resumes, interviews, case studies, and finding management consulting jobs.” Via the Library’s subscription, you have access to the following resources:
Students can access Eikon through six terminals in the Q-Smart Lab, one terminal in the Library, and
four terminals in classroom 2035. Eikon can only be accessed physically on-site. Logon information is posted at each machine. Terminals do not require any prior booking or reservation to use, although classrooms are occasionally inaccessible due to scheduled class meetings.
The CMU-Qatar Library offers faculty, students and staff access to Victor Cheng’s Look Over My Shoulder (LOMS) Program. Cheng is a former interviewer at McKinsey & Company, a globally known and respected management consulting firm.
Via the LOMS Program, you can access audio recordings and transcripts of case interviews with more than 22 candidates. Cheng highlights mistakes made by the candidates, as well as recommending more successful approaches.
